girl gazing at road ahead

The road ahead can be uncertain. Invest in your child's future.

We understand it can be difficult to pay for your child's preschool education. However, experts believe it is an investment for life.

Psychologists at the University of Virginia and the University of Wisconsin produced scientific evidence that the Montessori method works. Their study shows that 5-year-olds who attended a Montessori school outperformed their non-Montessori counterparts in nearly every measure.*

Montessori teaching practice is among the most technically complex approaches to instruction ever invented. Doing it well requires teachers to have mastered both the details of developmental theory and the carefully orchestrated sequences and activities that make up the Montessori curriculum. Deploying this vast knowledge base is further supported by ongoing clinical observation, which forms the basis for all interactions with children.

The average student spends two years at Mountain Brook Montessori Academy. Even though it may be a sacrifice for those two years, what better way to prepare your child for school and for life?

We recommend full-time attendance for highest levels of learning and achievement.

We offer very competitive rates

Please contact us at 480-983-0883  for specific information on all of our tuition and fee programs.

Registration Policy

Enrollment in our preschool is open to any child, based on availability of space in each class regardless of race, color, creed, or nationality. Ages range from 3 to 6 years old. Three (3) year olds must be toilet trained to be admitted to the 3 yr old curriculum. Children 4 to 6 years old will be enrolled in our Pre-K and Kindergarten curriculum.

Admission to our preschool will be permitted after we receive the completed enrollment packet (including a signed financial agreement and scheduled days for enrollment), the required State form, a copy of your child's current immunization record, and a non-refundable $60 registration fee and a $30 non-refundale materials fee. Special needs children are welcome, providing we are equipped to provide for their needs.

Tuition Policy

Tuition rates are comparable with neighboring Montessori preschools and day cares. Annual tuition for the school year is dividend into 10 equal payments. Each is due on the first of each month. Weekly, and bi-weekly payment of tuition is also acceptable.  Checks or money orders may be made payable to Mountain Brook Montessori Academy or "MBMA." A late fee is will be charged if tuition payments are made after five (5) working days as stated in the Parent Handbook. Tuition for missed days of school is not refunded. Extended absences should be discussed with the director.

Courtesy Days

Courtesy days for the year will be offered to the children that are enrolled for five full days only. If your child attends five full days, you will receive 50% of one week's tuition as a one time yearly Courtesy Day Credit. These days can be used when your child is sick, on vacation, or if the school is closed for a holiday. Courtesy Days can be used only if your child is not present at school.

Snacks and Lunches

Our preschool provides low sugar, nutritious snacks and 100% juice or milk twice each day, once in the morning and once in the afternoon. A snack menu is put up monthly and we are obligated to follow it by state law. We enjoy sharing all children's birthdays; if you would like to send in a special birthday snack, please see the child's teacher. We do not provide lunches; parents must send packed lunch, including a cold pack.

Health

For the well being of the children, we limit school attendance to healthy children only. Children must be without "symptoms" for 24 hours before returning to school. We are required by law to have each child's immunization records on file.
